Random Name Picker

Use this random name picker whenever a group needs a fair draw: choosing a student to answer, deciding who goes first, picking a raffle winner or assigning a task. Type or paste names, one per line, and spin.

How people use it

• In class: pick who answers next, and use Remove winner so everyone gets a turn before anyone repeats.
• Giveaways and raffles: paste in the entrants and spin live so everyone can watch the draw.
• Meetings: choose who presents, who takes notes, or who hosts next time.
• Drawing several winners: spin, press Remove winner, and spin again until you have the number you need.

You can paste a whole column from a spreadsheet: each row becomes one slice, up to 60 names. Your list stays in your browser and is not uploaded. Need to split people into groups instead? Try the random team generator.

1. Edit the list in the options box, one option per line, or pick one of the quick lists.
2. Press Spin, or tap or swipe the wheel.
3. Use Remove winner to draw again without repeats, and Copy link to share your exact wheel.

The winner is drawn with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before the wheel starts turning, so every option has the same chance.
